Klement’s Bigtime Chili Dog Sliders

 
 

Ingredients

  • Klement's 12 oz Chicago Style Beef Franks
  • 12 pack of Hawaiian Rolls
  • (1) 8 oz container of chive & onion cream cheese spread
  • (2) Tbsp mayonnaise
  • (1) 8 oz package of cheddar cheese (block or pre-shredded)
  • (1) 15 oz can of chili (or homemade)
  • (1) Stick of butter (salted or unsalted)
  • (1) Tbsp of minced garlic
  • (1) bundle of green onions
  • Aluminum foil or parchment paper

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350˚ F
  2. Thinly slice green onion and set aside
  3. In a bowl, combine cream cheese spread and mayonnaise and set aside (There may be leftover spread)
  4. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper
  5. Remove rolls from the bag and slice in half (like a hamburger bun) and lay bottom half on the baking sheet
  6. Spread cream cheese mixture thinly on the bottom half of the rolls
  7. Slice franks lengthwise (enough to open flat but not completely through) and brown on both sides in a skillet or on the grill
  8. Place browned franks over cream cheese spread, Spread chili over the franks, Spread cheddar cheese evenly over chili
  9. Carefully sandwich the top portion of the rolls over the cheddar cheese
  10. In a microwave safe bowl, add butter and garlic and microwave for 30 seconds (checking to not boil over)

Additional Steps

  1. Spread melted garlic butter mixture over the top of the rolls, add salt to taste
  2. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and cheese has melted
  3. Allow to cool slightly before slicing through each slider, Sprinkle green onion over top and serve
