BRAT BISCUITS AND GRAVY BAKE

 
 

Ingredients

  • 1 14oz. package Klement's Traditional Bratwurst, coin cut and halved
  • 2 Cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 Eggs
  • 3 1/2 Cups milk (28 oz)
  • 2 (16oz) Can of biscuit dough
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 Cup all purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spray a 9 x 13 pan and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until slightly browned with some olive oil. Add butter and stir until melted.
  4. Add flour to coat sausage and stir for 3 minutes. Add 3 cups of milk and continue to stir over medium heat until gravy thickens, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  5. While gravy is cooking, cut each biscuit into 4 pieces and line the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle biscuit dough with half the cheddar cheese.
  6. Whisk eggs and 1/2 cup milk with desired salt and pepper. Pour the mixture over the biscuits and cheese.
  7. Once gravy has thickened, pour the mixture over the casserole. Sprinkle the other half of the cheddar cheese over the top.
  8. Bake in the oven for 30 to 45 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve warm and enjoy!
