ITALIAN PASTA BAKE

 
 

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) Package of Klement's Italian Sausage
  • 1 Large onion, chopped
  • 2 Cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Each red & green bell peppers, cubed
  • 1 (14oz) Can diced tomatoes, or pasta style tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (6oz) Can tomato paste
  • 1 (8oz) Package of mostaccioli pasta, cooked
  • 1/4 Cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 Cups Italian shredded cheese

Steps

  1. Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish and pre-heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Cut Klement's Italian sausage into ½ inch pieces. Cook sausage in large skillet over medium heat until browned on all sides. Pour off drippings.
  3. Add onion, garlic and bell peppers; cook 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  4. Add tomatoes and tomato paste; mix well. Stir in pasta and basil.
  5. Bake mixture, covered, for 20 minutes.
  6. Uncover; sprinkle cheese over casserole. Continue to bake 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
